The Elevator Operator you will be responsible for timely and efficient receiving, blending, and binning of wheat from rail, truck and barge. Monitor the receiving and blending systems for chokes during the shift. Perform grain analytical testing for adherence to customer specifications.

Your responsibilities:
- Responsible for understanding and following all personnel and equipment safety policies; all GHP, HACCP, Sanitation policies; following all Business Unit policies and procedures.
- Must be able to learn and run the computer program and make calculated decisions as needed
- Blend mill mix as determined by lab (collecting samples, logging specs) and management
- Measure bins regularly and input data into prism program to maintain inventory
- Maintain optimal operation by clearing out large objects from spouts, operate cleaner/scalper to remove oversize and light foreign material troubleshooting and regular problem recognition with follow up problem solving.
- Data entry all unloads of grain trucks/railcars/barges and process paperwork that applies, adjust unloading system
- Safely operate lab analytical instruments.
- Communicate with truck drivers and dispatchers.
- Sanitation duties as assigned
- Organize work to meet production schedules and minimize downtime.
- Provide relief duties and other related job tasks / functions as assigned by management.
Essential skills and experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Strong reading comprehension, writing, math and communication skills.
- Basic computer skills (for data entry and process control).
- Safe track record
- Strong work planning and decision making skills.
- Analytical skills to recognize and assess problems- Troubleshooting
- Ability to wear required PPE.
- Communication skills in English (both verbal and written).
Physical requirements and working conditions (with or without reasonable accommodation):
- Able to work 3rd shift- Mon thru Fri, Saturdays (Sundays as needed)
- Working Outside / Inside as needed
- Climbing- able to work at high places, comfortable with heights requiring fall protection
- Lifting 50lbs
- Balancing /Reaching /Standing/ Walking / Lifting/ Finger dexterity/ Talking/ Hearing/ Vision/ Crouching/ Pushing/Pulling/ Kneeling
Team members must be clean shaven in order to perform tasks where respiratory protection is required and the use of a respirator (including N-95 dust mask) requires a proper seal for adequate protection.
