As the Quality Laboratory Supervisor, you will be responsible for managing the inspection of incoming raw materials, reviewing all manufacturing processes, and finished products to assure compliance with ARDEX Americas quality standards. This position will direct the laboratory and quality operations by scheduling and assigning workloads, maintaining a close rapport with R&D, production, and technical service to identify, solve and prevent problems affecting quality.
This position will be based at our corporate campus, located 20 minutes North of Pittsburgh International Airport. You will work in a serene escape nestled amidst the tranquil beauty of Raccoon Creek, with the convenience of free parking. This is a full-time position.
Key Responsibilities
- Plans, supervises, and supports the laboratory management and the daily functions for all the Quality Control laboratories to meet customer expectations.
- Provide quality and technical guidance for customer complaints.
- Provide necessary definition, development, and deployment of product quality assurance strategy, addressing all phases of product development.
- Lead department meetings and provide production support.
- Ensure that company and quality management processes and policies are adhered to.
- Manage and maintain documentation for the Quality Management System and External Certification.
- Ability to write, verify and review QC and QA documentation.
- Use statistical analysis to identify, implement, and monitor ongoing quality improvement processes while collaborating with interdepartmental teams.
- Monitor and maintain product consistency throughout product cycle, to include the design, define and build phases through quality checkpoints and testing.
- Owner/champion Equipment Maintenance & Calibrations for the Quality Management System.
- Utilize knowledge of statistics to provide daily, weekly, and monthly reports.
- Responsible for Laboratory database and daily, weekly, and monthly reports
- Directly oversee quality control technicians at all ARDEX Americas plant locations.
- 6 Sigma/Lean training preferred.
- Solid Analytical skills
- Demonstrated ability to trouble-shoot complex process/system issues.
- Experience preferred on grout color matching and testing.
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills
- Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced environment.
- Must focus on internal and external Customer needs.
- Knowledge of MS Office skills are an asset.
- Team attitude, takes initiative, self-motivated. Ability to interact with different stakeholders and motivated to train and drive change.

Education
- Bachelor's degree with at least two (2) years of work-related experience
- Associate degree with at least four (4) years progressive work-related experience
- High School Diploma/GED and least ten (10) years progressive work experience
