Recruitment Assistant (Human Resources)

We are seeking an energetic and dynamic Recruitment Coordinator to join our Human Resources team. If you are passionate about people, thrive on multitasking, and have a keen eye for detail, this role is perfect for you! As Recruitment Coordinator, you will be responsible for salaried and hourly recruitment for our United States, Canada, and Mexico regions, together with all onboarding.

Work Schedule:

This position is full-time Monday - Friday, however dependent on experience, we will also consider candidates who wish to work on a reduced full-time basis (30-32 hours per week with full Benefits), or part-time 24 hours a week.

Location: Our corporate campus located in Center Township, (20 minutes north of Pittsburgh International Airport), is a serene escape, nestled amidst the tranquil beauty of Raccoon Creek, with the convenience of free parking.

Key Responsibilities:


  • Creative Campaigns:
    Proactively develop and implement innovative recruiting strategies using social media and networking.
  • Community Engagement: Represent ARDEX at local career fairs and engage in outreach with high schools and colleges
  • Collaborative Hiring: Partner with hiring managers to understand departmental needs and craft accurate job descriptions. Post well written adverts and ensure visibility across all sites
  • Candidate Screening and Selection: Review resumes via the applicant tracking system, conduct preliminary screening interviews and assess for position suitability. Coordinate the interview process with hiring managers. Prepare offer letters.
  • Compliance & Coordination: Ensure recruiting processes comply with legal requirements, manage employment checks, and maintain accurate personnel files.
  • Administration and Onboarding: Administer all new hire information including background checks, employment and education verifications and new hire information via the HRIS (Paylocity).Prepare new hire orientation schedules and conduct orientations to ensure new hires are set up for success.

Experience and Skills:
  • Minimum 1 (one) year of recruitment experience is essential
  • Minimum 1 (one) year of HR experience is preferred
  • Experience with HRIS systems is essential
  • Applicant tracking system (ATS) experience is a plus
  • Proven high attention to detail and precision in maintaining accurate personnel records
  • Proven organizational skills; able to effectively manage multiple priorities simultaneously
  • Knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws, particularly in regard to recruiting and hiring
  • Confident, effective and engaging presenter. Builds relationships easily.
  • High levels of self-motivation, initiative, ideas, and problem-solving mindset
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Reliable and responsive
  • Strong team player: collaborates effectively with a diverse team across different locations
  • High ethical standards, integrity, confidentiality, and diplomacy
  • Proficient in MS Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook

Education

  • Minimum completed high school with applicable work experience is essential. Associate’s degree in human resources, Business, Communications, or related area is preferred.
