We are immediately hiring a TEMPORARY QUALITY CONTROL TECHNICIAN in our Mansfield Texas Production Facility. This position will be considered temp to perm for the right candidate. This person will independently perform routine and non-routine tests on all raw materials and finished goods to ARDEX specifications.
This is a temporary full-time position. The working hours will be Monday thru Friday 7:00 - 3:30 p.m., salary commensurate with experience.
Job Responsibilities
- Coordinate and test raw materials and finished products daily based upon back logs, customer shipment schedules and/or as directed by management.
- Knowledge of test methods, processes, and laboratory equipment for raw material, liquid, and finished products.
- Responsible for the inspection/preventative maintenance of all laboratory equipment.
- Accurately record and report test data in laboratory records and filing of incoming raw material certificate of analysis/quality.
- Participate with lab coverage and internal/external audits.
- Keep the lab clean and professional in appearance and functionality.
- May have to travel to support QC testing at other plants.
- Exhibit daily good laboratory housekeeping practices.
- All other miscellaneous duties as assigned.
Experience and Skills:
- Some Quality Control experience preferred.
- Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision.
- Takes the initiative and solves problems. Ability to recognize issues, recommends improvements.
- Make decisions independently and exercises judgment within the established guidelines.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills required. Self-starter, driven, self- motivated and the ability to work in a fast-paced laboratory environment.
- Basic understanding of Statistical Process Control as applied to our quality control measures preferred.
- Must be proficient in Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Must possess good teamwork and collaboration skills. Must be able to work as a team on process improvement issues focusing on safety, quality, and productivity.
- Must be able to multi-task and give guidance and follow directions clearly.
- Must be able to work overtime and weekends.

Physical Demands
- The ability to sit, stand, walk and use hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, and telephone to talk and hear. The ability to frequently sit and reach with hands and arms. The ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
Education
- High school diploma or GED equivalent with Laboratory Experience.
- Associate degree preferred.
