Job Responsibilities
Responsible for service at the tasting room, ensuring exceptional customer service and promoting the Ardiri Winery & Vineyards brand to make the experience for each visitor memorable. Maintain the tasting and sale of wine and non-wine products at the tasting room to maximize sales potential. Promotion of wine club to convert guests into new members.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Hospitality & Service:
· Management of the daily tasting room experience, upholding Ardiri’ s reputation for a warm, friendly, engaging customer experience.
· Maintain our standards for customer service, experience throughout hours of operation.
· Handle customer service situations and concerns, e.g. excess consumption by clients, dog issues, child issues.
· Management of reservations.
· Monitor reservations in the tasting room.
· Educated on and maintains knowledge of company wines, winery history, winemaking process and wine country in order to effectively advise, answer questions and sell wine to guests.
· Opening & closing procedures for tasting room, including umbrellas, garbage, recycling, cleaning, cushions, wine stocking, etc.
· Perform general housekeeping duties in the tasting room to ensure it is neat and orderly for staff and guests all day.
o Includes tasting room, bathroom, outside grounds where guests are seated, and back office.
o Alert owners to any repairs, maintenance or enhancements that need to be made.
· Answering phone calls during business hours.
· Logging tasting bottle inventory in Orderport POS system.
· Participate in onsite tasting room and wine club events.
· Become proficient with function of tasting room software.
Wine Tasting & Club:
Ensuring new customers are educated on Ardiri’s Wine Club.
o Conversion of guests to new wine club members.
· Prepare for wine club quarterly allotments.
· Preparing shipping orders upon request.
· Learn wine club general operations.
Operations & Staff Management:
· Oversee the opening and closing of the tasting room.
· Handle routine and complex sales transactions which include operating cash register and accounting of daily sales.
· Cash out register and ensure owner gets cash weekly.
· Confirm that tasting room software and website are up to date regarding current tasting room offerings.
·Responsible for restocking wine weekly in the tasting room.
Create order lists for owner at end of weekend (beer, beverages, plates, cups, cleaning supplies, wine bags, etc.).
Other Duties & Responsibilities: As needed.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $16.00 - $30.00 per hour
