Our client, a local construction leader, has an immediate opportunity for a Director of Finance. The Director of Finance is responsible for preparation of financial analyses for use by the organization and is responsible for managing control functions to include collecting, analyzing, and forecasting accounting, financial and cost information to develop financial plans and accurate financial data for significant construction projects. This is an exceptional growth opportunity for a highly motivated, detail oriented construction accountant with excellent interpersonal skills.
We are looking for a construction accounting professional with the ability to organize people, data, tools and equipment to orchestrate multiple activities at once. In addition to traditional accounting skills, the ideal candidate will
- Experience supervising and developing direct reports.
- Maintain effective business partnerships with organization leadership.
- Actively participate in industry, client and company relations to enhance company image.
- WIP Construction Accounting experience, construction project accounting, schedule of values.
- Keen critical thinking skills.
- Demonstrate solid presentation skills and written / verbal skills.
- Technology progressive and demonstrated expertise in data analysis.
- Procore Finance or Vista is preferred but not required.
- Experience with data migration and implementing new accounting software.
To be considered for this opportunity you will be an experienced construction accounting professional with at least 15 years of accounting experience, 6 of which have been in the construction industry. A Bachelors Degree in Accounting, Finance or similar is required. Construction Accounting Systems skills will ideally include experience with Procore Financials and the usual suite of Microsoft Office products. Local candidates are encouraged to apply but relocation will be considered. CPA is not required.
Compensation is commensurate with experience.
