We design, sell and distribute luxury home décor to interior designers as well as boutique / luxury retailers globally. The AHD family of wholesale brands includes Made Goods (flagship furniture made from unique materials); Pigeon & Poodle (home and bath accessories); Blue Pheasant (handcrafted tabletop products) and Thucassi (artisanal candles and fragrances).

This Materials Handler role is responsible for providing product unpacking and re-packing support.

Responsibilities may include a combination of the following, along with other duties as assigned :

Frequently reaches above shoulder level to lift or otherwise move objects that weigh between 50-100 pounds (assisted) when unloading and sorting pallet products
Pushes and pulls frequently
Functions and operates comfortably in a very active fast-paced environment
Follows verbal and written instructions
Operates a forklift and / or pallet jack to pull product for production use
Removes product from cartons safely and efficiently, following all safety standards, procedures and processes
Regularly ensures that product reloading is properly handled to minimize damage to products
Submits paperwork correctly

Requirements

Required Qualifications

High school diploma or GED

Previous Warehouse work experience helpful

Reach Truck, Cherry picker, Sit-down Forklift experience is required

Willingness to learn and apply new skills

Great attention to detail

Diligent and punctual

Physical Requirements

Able to move / lift up to 50 lbs with assistance as needed

Able to work in a typical warehouse environment with varying temperatures throughout the year

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to sit; stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; as well as reach with hands and arms.

The employee must frequently lift and / or move up to 15 pounds and occasionally lift and / or move up to 35 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Ability to work in open environment with fluctuating temperatures and standard lighting.

Ability to work on computer and mobile phone for multiple hours; with frequent interruptions.

Required to use stairwells to attend meetings and engage with employees on multiple floors throughout building.

Compensation : $

Starting base pay : $18.00 - $19.50 per hour. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location.
