Part-time Substitute Teacher

Job Summary

Ardmore United Methodist Through the Week School (TTWS) is a vibrant weekday ministry of Ardmore UMC. We are a half-day program (9:00-12:00) with optional Lunch Bunch until 1:00. With over fifty years of outreach ministry, we continue to show families the hospitality of Ardmore UMC.

We are looking for a Substitute Teachers to join our team and help support our teachers in the classroom. The ideal candidate will have experience working with children, be patient and understanding, and have a passion for helping children learn and grow. The Substitute Teacher will be responsible for providing support to the lead teacher, assisting with lesson plans, and helping to create a safe and nurturing learning environment.

Duties

• Assist in the implementation of lesson plans and activities.
• Engage directly with and supervise students.
• Provide direct care appropriate to the various ages (eg diapering and feeding infants and toddlers)
• Provide guidance to children in social and emotional matters.
• Maintain a safe and orderly classroom environment.
• Previous experience in private school settings is advantageous but not required.

Experience working with children

• Must be 18 or older
