Ardurra Group, Inc. has an excellent opportunity for a full-time entry-level engineer for bridge structural design services at our office in Orlando, Florida!
This position includes performing structural engineering calculations for bridge elements, traffic signal/sign structures, and retaining walls and developing conceptual, preliminary, and final plans for bridge projects. The ideal candidate should be able to identify, state, and analyze well-defined engineering problems and have a basic knowledge of transportation-related design concepts, principles, and theories. Work will be performed under the oversight of senior staff.

Primary Duties
- Research, collect, and review data for transportation-related projects
- Complete technical assignments that include structural modeling, design calculations, detailed cost estimates, and plans production associated with the planning, design, and construction of bridges and other transportation-related structures
- Utilize specialized computer software to assist with the analysis, design, and plans production for bridges and miscellaneous structures in support of transportation infrastructure projects
- Aid in the preparation of detailed reports and documentation of the structural design approach
- Participate in construction phase services such as site visits, construction observations, and shop drawing reviews
- BS or MS/ME in Civil or Structural Engineering
- Successful completion of the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and experience with FDOTConnect for OpenBridge Modeler
- Prior practical experience performing structural engineering tasks for transportation-related infrastructure projects and familiarity with related software packages, such as OpenBridge Designer (LEAP Bridge Concrete & Steel), MDX, FB-MultiPier & PTC Mathcad
- Basic knowledge of applicable design standards and specifications including AASHTO LRFD Bridge Design Specifications, FDOT Structures Manual, and FDOT Standard Plans
- Ability to communicate technical information, thoroughly complete work tasks, and work well with others
- Possess attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and organizational and time management skills
