ARE Structures is a fast-growing company based in St. Paul, Minnesota with a warehouse in North Branch, MN. Focusing on the unique needs of our customers, ARE has designed and patented numerous innovative telecommunications infrastructure products, including our ballasted, self-raising monopole.
A small company of 10 people, ARE is seeking a high-energy and organized assistant project manager with an unwavering commitment to the highest quality of customer service to work with our industry leading customers – Verizon, ATT, T-Mobile, US Cellular, US Military, National Park Service.
This position requires onsite work at our warehouse in North Branch, and work from home, with the possibility of occasional visits to customer installation sites.
Full Job Description
Position Summary:
The assistant project manager is responsible for coordinating assigned projects and assisting with ordering, shipping and installation. The assistant project manager will plan, schedule, coordinate, and communicate as necessary to ensure projects meet deadlines and customer expectations. This will include communicating with installation crews and shipping companies, along with the customer.
Performance Requirements:
- Regularly sit for more than 6 hours using office equipment, including a computer, telephone, printer, etc.
- Ability to concentrate and be persistent.
- Ability to interact appropriately with co-workers and customers.
- Regular attendance.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manage order entry and completion procedures in operating platforms with respect to both internal and external requirements
- Respond to client requests, recognize the cost of services, adhere to margin guidance, negotiate with clients when necessary and assign appropriate pricing as required
- Prioritize, schedule and communicate order requirements with approved service providers in accordance with agreement requirements and customer expectations
- Coordinate external resources for proper execution of all services requested with reference to time parameters, technical procedures, customer service and pricing
- Monitor and report on the progress of each order; communicating and documenting the progress both internally and externally as required
- Manage order escalations and provide support to both clients and field teams in accordance with company guidelines
- Maintain a professional relationship with clients and service providers through efficient communication and development of a general understanding of services offered
- Participate in projects, programs, training, and action plans to meet company goals
- Understand and adhere to standard operating procedures
- Ensure proper use of field applications on all orders
- Perform other duties and projects, as assigned
Skills:
- Understanding the fundamentals of coordinating resources and timeline applications is preferred
- Adaptable
- Well organized, detail oriented and analytical; with the ability to work autonomously in a high-volume work environment
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Proficient critical thinking, with the ability to identify problems and formulate decisions independently
- Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills
- Computer proficiency in the use of email and Microsoft Office. G-Suite and Salesforce experience is a plus
- Basic math skills needed to determine job costing, discounting, and calculating profit margins are required
- Ability to obtain detailed knowledge of services and technical applications
- Ability to travel to customer location or ARE warehouse as needed. Approximately 50% of work will be done in person.
Education and/or Experience:
- Two years’ experience in work scheduling, dispatching or high-volume customer service is desired. Construction or Telecommunications experience a plus.
- Sales experience is a plus.
- Experience with Microsoft Office and Teams.
Requires a valid driver's license and reliable transportation to get to and from the warehouse.

Hourly Wage: $20 to $25 per hour, depending on experience
