Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair telecommunication cables, including fiber optic and Ethernet cables.
- Utilize hand tools and testing equipment such as voltmeters and ohmmeters to ensure proper installation.
- Perform fiber splicing and termination of cables as needed.
- Troubleshoot issues with cable systems, including Cisco routers and other networking equipment.
- Collaborate with service technicians to resolve customer issues efficiently.
- Maintain accurate records of installations, repairs, and service calls.
- Adhere to safety protocols while working in various environments.
Requirements
- Proven experience in telecommunication installation or a related field.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to use hand tools effectively.
- Familiarity with computer networking concepts and equipment, including Cisco routers.
- Experience with fiber splicing techniques is highly desirable.
- Ability to read technical diagrams and schematics.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
