We have year-round work with no sales or travel required. (Travel is optional but not required) Work will be routed to you as it is in all of our markets. The harder you work the more money you will make. We are a 1099 company. This is a rewarding job. Candidates need to have a clean background to be considered. The only travel involved for the position is to the office and to each residential home on daily route.

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Cable Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing various types of cabling systems for telecommunications and networking. This role requires a strong understanding of computer networking, field service operations, and the ability to work with various hand tools and equipment. The Cable Technician will play a crucial role in ensuring that our clients receive high-quality service and reliable connectivity.

Duties

• Install, terminate, and test cabling systems including Ethernet and telephone lines.
• Utilize hand tools and equipment such as voltmeters to troubleshoot and resolve connectivity issues.
• Perform routine maintenance on cabling infrastructure to ensure optimal performance.
• Collaborate with customers to understand their telecommunication needs and provide appropriate solutions.
• Conduct field service visits to install or repair cabling systems at customer locations.
• Maintain accurate records of installations, repairs, and maintenance activities.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in using hand tools related to cabling installation and repair.
• Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to understand technical drawings and specifications.
• Experience in computer networking principles, including familiarity with Ethernet technology.
• Background in telecommunications is preferred but not mandatory.
• Ability to work independently in the field while adhering to safety protocols.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on customer satisfaction.
