Job Summary:
We are seeking a Data Analyst (known internally as a Director of Administration) to join our team, focusing on leveraging data to optimize operations and improve decision-making within our F&B, wellness, and event sectors.
Day-to-Day:
- Data Gathering and Cleaning
- Collect data from various sources, including internal databases, APIs, surveys, and web analytics.
- Clean and prepare datasets, addressing missing values, outliers, and inconsistencies to ensure data integrity.
Exploratory Data Analysis (EDA) - Identify patterns, trends, and relationships using statistical methods like descriptive statistics, correlation analysis, and hypothesis testing
- Data Modeling and Visualization
- Develop data models and create visualizations (charts, graphs, dashboards) to convey insights effectively to stakeholders
- Use tools like Tableau or Power BI to build intuitive dashboards for real-time monitoring.
- Reporting and Presentation
- Generate comprehensive reports that summarize findings, key metrics, and actionable recommendations.
- Present insights and recommendations to senior management and cross-functional teams.
- Collaboration
- Work closely with F&B, wellness, and event teams to understand their needs and align analysis with strategic goals.
- Partner with stakeholders to refine data requirements and ensure actionable outcomes.
- Advanced Analytics
- Apply predictive modeling, machine learning and other advanced techniques to forecast trends and identify opportunities
About You:
- Proficiency in SQL for data extraction and manipulation.
- Experience with Python or R for data analysis and visualization.
- Strong knowledge of data visualization tools like Tableau or Power BI.
- Solid understanding of statistical methods and concepts.
- A plus if candidate has knowledge of Fitness Software Systems (i.e. Mindbody)
- Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong communication skills to present complex insights clearly.
- Attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
- Effective collaboration with diverse teams and stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Technology, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field.
- 3 years of experience in data analytics, with a focus on F&B, wellness, or event-related industries preferred.
