What are the responsibilities and job description for the Advanced Manufacturing/Welding Teacher position at Area 30 Career Center?
Job Requirement: Verifiable minimum of 5 years work experience in advanced manufacturing with welding experience.
Employment:183 days per year: Full time 8:00 AM- 3:30 PM
Job Responsibilities:
- Utilize Indiana’s Career and Technical Education curriculum to teach juniors and seniors skills in advanced manufacturing and welding
- Teach safety, OSHA 10 hr, principles of design, electrical, hydraulics, pneumatics, automation, software controls, robotics, troubleshooting systems
- Teach a variety of welding techniques, AWS certification, equipment care and maintenance
- Industry certifications a plus, AWS, SACA
- Use computer software to support classroom and school requirements
- Demonstrate effective communications and work effectively in a team oriented environment
- Develop lesson plans and instructional materials
- Supervise and assess students
