Job Description
JOB SUMMARY:
The Home Delivered Meal Vehicle Driver is directly supervised by the CENTER DIRECTOR and generally supervised by the DIRECTOR OF SENIOR SERVICES. Operates vehicle in accordance with all traffic laws; adheres to preventive maintenance guidelines; keeps accurate records; assures security of vehicle; reports promptly any accidents involving vehicle; delivers meals; performs general maintenance at Senior Center; attends drivers' training when scheduled; performs other duties as assigned.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- PERFORMS OTHER DUTIES AS ASSIGNED.
KNOWLEDGE, ABILITIES, SKILLS:
Knowledge of Arkansas driving regulations
Knowledge of roads and area assigned in routes
Ability to perform minimal heavy lifting and carrying
Ability to determine vehicle maintenance needs
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
The formal education equivalent of Grammar school, i.e., must be able to read, write, speak and understand English. Must be 21 years of age or older. Other job-related education and/or experience may be substituted for all or part of these basic requirements upon approval of the Board of Directors' Personnel Committee if such substitution does not violate program regulations and requirements.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
By the time employment begins, must have a current Arkansas Driver's License; have no citations listed on driving record. (Driving record which results in non-coverage by agency's insurance carrier will result in termination from job Will attend job-related training as required. Must maintain clear driving record and Criminal Record status. Will attend job related training as required.

Ability to understand and follow complicated verbal and written instructions, guidelines, policies and procedures

Ability to complete complex paperwork/forms required to document time and work completed

Ability to do multi-tasking with minimal errors
Ability to stand or sit for long periods of time
Ability to grasp, reach, bend, stoop, kneel, squat, climb and move about freely
Ability to travel both short and long distances
Ability to lift objects up to 25 pounds
Ability to work with minimal supervision
Ability to work as a team member
Ability to perform duties in accordance with safety guidelines
Basic Qualifications
- Must have formal education equivalent of Grammar school.

Temporary position; Part-Time; 28 hours per week
