Position Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated DME Delivery Technician to provide essential care and support to patients in their homes. As a DME Delivery Technician, you will be responsible for delivering durable medical equipment (DME) to patient homes, as well as setting up the equipment and showing the patient and their caregiver how to properly use the equipment as well as service, repair, and cleaning of the equipment, and picking up equipment no longer needed in the patient homes. The ideal candidate has very strong communication skills, is reliable, professional, and empathetic, with a passion for helping others. Candidates must be able to lift heavy equipment in varying temperatures and weather conditions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Delivery: Deliver and install durable medical equipment to patient homes with compassion and understanding.
- Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service while delivering, setting up, and educating/demonstrating proper use of equipment to patients and their caregivers.
- Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance and safety checks on equipment prior to delivery and after pick-up.
- Organization: Keep a clean and orderly work vehicle. Ensure documentation and reports are complete and turned in timely.
- Safety: Comply with all safety and infection control procedures.
- Professional Conduct: Maintain a positive, professional attitude and project a caring image. Wear company-issued ID at all times on the job.
- Professional Development: Attend required training sessions to maintain up-to-date knowledge and skills.

- Technology Use: Utilize applications as required for recordkeeping and communication.
- On-call: Participate in weekend on-call rotation as required.
- Other Duties: Perform additional responsibilities as assigned by supervisors or management to meet the needs of the patient and team.

Requirements
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent (required).
- Must possess a valid driver’s license.
- Must be at least 25 years of age.
- Basic mechanical skills and ability to perform routine maintenance on equipment.
- CPR/First Aid certified.
- Must possess a smartphone with acceptable internet capabilities and data limits required to perform certain functions of position.
- Previous experience with DME is preferred but not required.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions, and communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare staff.
- Compassionate, patient, and empathetic demeanor, with a commitment to providing high-quality service.
- Ability to lift heavy equipment in a variety of settings, up to 100 lbs.
- Comfortable using technology for documentation and communication.
- Must pass required background checks, adult and child maltreatment screenings, and drug screening.
