Job Title: NON-EMERGENCY TRANSPORTATION (NET) DRIVER
Location: Fort Smith
Department: Transportation
Reports To: Transportation Manager
Employment Type: Part-Time
Position Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated NET DRIVER to operate an assigned vehicle to transport clients to various appointments. As a NET Driver, you will be responsible for the safety and well-being of passengers for the duration of the transport. The ideal candidate has very strong communication skills, is reliable, professional, and empathetic, with a passion for helping others.
Key Responsibilities:
- Vehicle Operation: Operate the vehicle according to assigned schedule to provide safe and reliable transportation of passengers. Drive in a safe and responsible manner at all times while also complying with all traffic regulations. Assist wheelchair and mobility limited passengers in and out of the pickup/drop-off points, including assistance with seating, securing seat belts, securing wheelchairs and other assistive devices.
- Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service while transporting passengers.
- Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance and safety checks on equipment prior to start of shift and after end of shift.
- Organization: Keep a clean and orderly work vehicle. Ensure documentation and reports are complete and turned in timely.
- Safety: Comply with all safety and infection control procedures.
- Professional Conduct: Maintain a positive, professional attitude and project a caring image. Wear company-issued ID at all times on the job.
- Professional Development: Attend required training sessions to maintain up-to-date knowledge and skills.
- Mandatory Reporting: Report any witnessed or reported abuse of passengers to the appropriate staff.
- Technology Use: Utilize applications as required for recordkeeping and communication.
- Other Duties: Perform additional responsibilities as assigned by supervisors or management to meet the needs of the patient and team.

Requirements
- Minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Must be at least 25 years old.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license.
- Certified in CPR/First Aid.
- Must submit to and successfully pass a criminal background screen, adult and child maltreatment screen and pre-employment drug screen.
- Must not have any combination of two moving violations or accidents on the motor vehicle report.
- Experience in driving or working with elderly or disabled is preferred.
- Strong communication skills.
