AWE is seeking a highly skilled Senior Biologist to lead our project team in environmental consulting. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing projects, communicating with clients and staff, and ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of experience in environmental consulting, preferably in California. A Bachelor's degree in Biology or a related field is required, and a Master's or Ph.D. is preferred. The selected candidate will possess excellent organizational skills, the ability to work on multiple tasks, and strong communication skills.
The job involves managing projects from planning to post-construction compliance, preparing proposals, scopes of work, and cost estimates, and compiling and coordinating completion of project proposals, reports, and permit applications. You will also conduct background research, identify avoidance measures, and develop mitigation plans. Additionally, you will oversee in-field biological monitors for construction projects and prepare reports from project staff field notes.
