The Closing Department Coordinator will facilitate the closing process for real estate transactions, ensuring compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements. This role involves coordination with various stakeholders, including buyers, sellers, agents and lenders, to ensure a smooth and efficient closing experience. Additionally, will be responsible for execution of contracts for potential buyers and sellers from start to finish.
Key responsibilities
- TRANSACTION COORDINATOR: Manage all aspects of the closing process from contract acceptance to final settlement. Schedule and coordinate closing dates and times with all parties involved
- DOCUMENTATION: Create and execute closing contracts from start to finish with potential buyers and sellers. Prepare and review closing documents, including title documents, closing statements and settlement statements. Ensure all necessary paperwork is completed accurately and in a timely manner
- COMPLIANCE AND REGULATIONS: Verify that all transactions comply with local, state and federal regulations.Stay updated on changes in real estate law and practices.
- COMMUNICATION: Act as the primary point of contact for clients, agents and lenders throughout the whole closing process. Provide regular updates to all parties regarding the status of the transaction.
- PROBLEM-SOLVING: Identify and address any issues that arise during the closing process, working to resolve them quickly and efficiently. Coordinate with title companies, attorneys and other third parties to ensure timely resolution of issues.
- FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT: Oversee the collection and disbursement of funds related to closing. Prepare and review financial calculations, including prorations and adjustments.
- POST-CLOSING ACTIVITIES: Ensure all documents are properly recorded with the appropriate governmental agencies. Conduct post-closing audits to verify the accuracy of document and financial transactions.
Qualifications
- EDUCATION: Bachelors degree in business, finance, real estate or related field preferred
- EXPERIENCE: Minimum 1 year experience in real estate closing, title or related fields
- KNOWLEDGE: Familiarity with real estate laws, closing procedures and documentation requirements
-SKILLS: Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Proficiency in real estate software and Microsoft office suite. Ability to manage multiple transactions simultaneously and work under pressure
- WORK ENVIRONMENT: Primary office based with occasional site visits. May require extended hours during peak transaction periods.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $40,000.00 - $45,000.00 per year
