This position requires full-time, in-office presence at our Irvine, CA office.
Job Summary
Under the supervision of Quality Management, the incumbent is responsible for performing quality inspection of assigned products. Engaging in all ethical quality inspection and documentation conduct to ensure the highest quality of products and services are maintained. Responsibilities may include weekend work during busy times of the month and year. Weekend work may be available and is optional under the discretion of the Quality Manager.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Inspection and Verification:
- Perform visual, physical, and mechanical inspection of electronic, electrical, and electromechanical components, hardware, and assemblies.
- Search for manufacturer’s datasheets using online databases.
- Read and interpret manufacturer’s datasheets, customer specific drawings, purchase order requirements, contracts, technical drawings, and specifications.
- Use customer specific portals and Mil spec drawings to verify incoming test data, certificates, drawings, packaging requirements, vendor approval status, and any other Quality clauses as noted on the purchase order.
- Review extensive supplier test packages for accuracy and adherence to customer requirements.
- Document and photograph all inspections and test results.
- Communicate, verbally and through written form, the inspection and verification results to other team members, our customers, and our vendors as necessary.
- Adhere to the company’s Quality Management System (QMS) and comply with all Quality related policies, procedures, and forms.
- Ensure Quality reports (e.g., Inspection and Verification Reports, Inspection and Verification Analysis Reports, Nonconforming Material Reports, etc.) are accurate and completed in accordance with our QMS and policies.
- Collaborate with team members, customers, and vendors to help resolve issues in a timely and thorough manner.
- Meet and/or exceed department and company goals.
- Utilize Area51 Electronics’ proprietary software program for all quality-related work.

Education
Minimum of High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution
Experience
At least one year of experience inspecting and testing electronic, electrical, electromechanical components, hardware, and assemblies.
AND/OR
At least one year of hands-on experience with prototyping, assembling electronic components or electric circuits.
Language Skills
Able to communicate in English, verbally and through written form to a diverse group of people.
