Nature of Work:
Qualified Event Safety Report Writers will have the primary responsibility of answering and responding to any emergency or non-emergency calls in a variety of KSE venues including, but not limited to, Ball Arena and Dick’s Sporting Goods Park. The main duties include responding to, handling, and creating documentation of incidents that occur during events while working under the direction of the Event Safety Manager. Incidents that this position will respond to include building damage, injury or illness to guest or employee, criminal activity, and Fan Code of Conduct violations. The report writer will carry him or herself in a professional and courteous manner and be understanding of all people involved.
This position will also be expected to train in Command Center Dispatch. Command Center main duties include logging each call, providing answers to questions by retrieving information from the necessary departments, prioritizing each call or request occurring in KSE venues. This role uses telephone, two-way radios, 24/7 Software applications, and text messages to receive and send calls through Command.

Examples of work performed:
- Obtains and documents identification, statements, description of the incident scene, and other information involved in incidents during events.
- Creates a detailed report for KSE’s internal use, hearings, lawsuits, and insurance investigations.
- Communicates effectively and efficiently with peers and other departments, in person, over the radio, phone, and through the Department’s software platform.
- Under the direction of the Event Safety Manager, provides support to guests and event personnel.
- Performs tasks as directed to establish a safe and inclusive environment for staff and guests.
- Ability to assist and handle complaints and disturbances with staff and guests while providing excellent customer service.
- When working Command Center logs each call, provides answers to questions by retrieving information from all necessary departments, and appropriately prioritizes each call or request.

Working Conditions & Physical Demands:
- Capable of sitting, standing, or walking for extended periods of time with some bending, stooping, and stretching on a variety of surfaces like concrete, tile, marble, cement, and grass. Exposure to outdoor elements.
- Occasional lifting items weighing up to 30 pounds.
- Occasionally pushing patrons in wheelchairs.
- Comfortability with various incidents involving Emergency Personnel. Tolerance for moderate to loud event noises.
- Capable of navigating large event venues and comfortability with large crowds and navigating through crowds quickly as needed
- Must be able to ascend/descend multiple flights of stairs in an arena and outdoor stadium setting throughout the duration of the shift, sometimes in low light or concert settings
Qualifications:
Minimum
- High School Diploma or GED
- Minimum of 1 years professional experience within a report writer or customer service role.
- Proficient in documentation, data entry, and reporting
- Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire.
Preferred
- Experience in detailed incident report writing and documentation preferred, but not required.

- Ability to work a varied schedule to include evenings, weekends, and holidays, and to work at a variety of KSE venues to include, but not limited to, Ball Arena and Dick’s Sporting Goods Park.
- Ability to lead fellow event personnel and emergency personnel in accordance with KSE policies and procedures, being always a positive representative of KSE and a leader in our venues
- Excellent clerical and organizational skills.

- Ability to work under stress and remain calm during rapidly changing circumstances.

Compensation:
- Base hourly wage: $22.00 per hour
