Position Overview:
The Construction Superintendent will oversee day-to-day field operations, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality and safety standards. This role is ideal for professionals with a background in HCAI, healthcare, or general construction who are ready to take on a leadership role in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Oversight: Manage and coordinate all aspects of on-site construction activities, ensuring adherence to project schedules, quality, and safety standards.
- Team Leadership: Direct and mentor site staff, subcontractors, and vendors, fostering a collaborative work environment that emphasizes accountability and continuous improvement.
- Safety & Compliance: Enforce strict adherence to safety protocols and regulatory requirements, maintaining a secure worksite for all personnel.
- Quality Control: Oversee quality assurance processes, conducting regular inspections and resolving any issues promptly to uphold project standards.
- Coordination & Communication: Serve as the primary liaison between project management, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders, ensuring clear and timely communication of project progress and issues.
- Budget & Resource Management: Monitor project expenditures and resource allocation, contributing to effective budget management and cost control.
- Problem Solving: Quickly identify and resolve on-site challenges, adjusting plans as needed to maintain project momentum and integrity.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum of 7-10 years in construction management with a proven track record on multi-million dollar projects. Prior experience in HCAI, healthcare construction, or general construction is highly desirable.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field preferred; equivalent experience will be considered.
- Skills:Strong leadership and team management capabilities.
- Excellent knowledge of construction methods, safety practices, and industry regulations.
- Proficiency in reading blueprints, construction documents, and project scheduling software.
- Exceptional communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Certifications: OSHA certification and any relevant industry-specific certifications are a plus.
Compensation:
- Salary range of $160,000 to $180,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
