After-School STEM Instructor

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Tutor to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting students' academic growth and personal development. This position involves working closely with students to enhance their understanding of various subjects, while also fostering a positive and engaging learning environment. The Tutor will utilize their skills in childhood development and classroom management to effectively address the unique needs of each student.

Responsibilities

• Actively supervise all participants and facilitate safe, structured activities.
• Maintain accurate daily attendance records and ensure that students sign-in and sign-out
• Monitor student progress and adjust teaching strategies accordingly.
• Foster a supportive and encouraging atmosphere that promotes learning and self-confidence.
• Implement behavior management techniques to maintain a productive learning environment.
• Communicate regularly with parents or guardians regarding student progress and areas for improvement.
• Engage students in interactive activities to enhance their learning experience.

Skills

• Proficient in classroom management techniques to maintain an effective learning environment.
• Experience in childcare settings, demonstrating the ability to connect with children of various ages.
• Experience working with students in camp settings or similar environments is beneficial.
• First aid certification is preferred, ensuring a safe learning space for all participants.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 8 per week
