The Program Manager (PM) is responsible for overseeing the Base Telecommunications System (BTS) contract at Los Angeles Air Force Base, ensuring the seamless operation and maintenance of telecommunications infrastructure, which includes inside and outside plant systems, transmission systems, and associated equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage daily operations, personnel, budgeting, scheduling, and compliance with Department of Defense (DoD), Air Force (AF), and Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) regulations while ensuring all contractual obligations are met.
- Collaborate with the 61st Communications Squadron (61 CS), subcontractors, and government stakeholders to achieve a 99.9% system availability rate.
- Lead incident response efforts, manage work orders, address outages, and implement quality control measures to maintain performance standards and ensure mission-critical communications are operational 24/7.
- Oversee contract reporting, manpower tracking, and adherence to government policies.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and service delivery.
- Candidates should have relevant experience in telecommunications, IT, or project management, with a strong ability to manage operations, coordinate teams, and ensure compliance with contract requirements.
- Prior leadership or supervisory experience in a technical or government contracting environment is beneficial.
- A general understanding of telecommunications infrastructure, service delivery, incident response, and quality control is preferred.
