Job Description
Ares Management is seeking a highly skilled and entrepreneurial communications professional to join the Corporate Communications team as a Senior Associate. This person will be responsible for supporting the external communications function, including the promotion and protection of the Ares Management brand. A project management mindset is critical in this role to ensure deliverables are on time and of high-quality.
PRIMARY FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The responsibilities of this role will be focused on media engagement, issues response, drafting written communications and project management. Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to : Serve as a trusted advisor and strategic counselor to Ares' investment teams.Support the design and execution of tailored media relations programs that promote investment team priorities.Pitch and respond to reporters from national print, newswire, radio, and broadcast media outlets.Identify and secure external speaking engagement and high-profile media opportunities.Draft communications (press releases, media talking points, Q&A, etc.) and manage internal and external review processes.Manage multiple projects and tasks with business-critical deadlines.Support clipping, internal tracking and reporting and press release distribution.Deliver fresh ideas, produce high-quality work, and drive results.QUALIFICATIONS
Education :
Bachelor's degree is requiredExperience Required :
4-5 years of corporate communications experience, either in-house or at a strategic communications firm.Understanding of and experience in the asset management industry and / or broader financial services industry is a must. Experience with private credit, real estate and / or infrastructure communications is preferred.Experience securing media opportunities with financial and trade media outlets.Strategic thinker who is results-oriented and can deliver high-value programs at a tactical level.Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to edit / proof for content and context.Experience tracking and measuring results to ensure they are in line with intended outcomes.Experience working with cross-functional teams and agency partners.Ability to solicit feedback and build consensus.Strong organization skills, ability to multitask and prioritize.Self-motivated team player with the ability to execute with limited oversight.

Compensation
The anticipated base salary range for this position is listed below. Total compensation may also include a discretionary performance-based bonus. Note, the range takes into account a broad spectrum of qualifications, including, but not limited to, years of relevant work experience, education, and other relevant qualifications specific to the role.
120,000 - $145,000
