Ares Technology is seeking a part-time Accounting Manager to handle daily managerial tasks, as well as other activities depending on work experience. Ares recognizes that no two candidates are the same, and as such, we’ve separated responsibilities between core (must haves) and other activities that will help differentiate potential candidates.
This position will serve as the right hand to the company President. The successful candidate will enjoy a consistently changing work environment with no two days the same. This candidate will oversee the daily operation and completion of critical business functions related to finance, purchasing, payroll & business operations as core responsibilities. Marketing, export compliance and supply chain management experience is desirable and can differentiate potential candidates.
Individual responsibility and flexibility are core values at Ares. The successful candidate will be expected to manage their time independently and appropriately. Working hours are flexible and remote working is allowed up to 25%.
This position will oversee aspects of:
• Ensuring on-time delivery of all company hardware products and consulting projects
• Manage all purchasing and financial activity in QuickBooks including PO distribution, sales orders, and invoicing
• Assisting in quotation preparation and pricing activities
• New vendor identification & onboarding
• Manage company finances, cash flow & expense allocation
• Manage company registrations & licenses
• This role may require occasional travel to suppliers/vendors and training seminars (<5%)
• Marketing Activities
• Assist in the development of company marketing materials
• Manage company website & LinkedIn account
• Managing suppliers/vendors
• Other duties as assigned
Essential Qualifications
· Experience with Quickbooks
· Experience managing cash flow analyses
· Generating P&L Reports
· Creating Balance sheets
· Strong organizational and planning skills
· Proficient in MS Office
· Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work
· Impeccable attention to detail
· Problem-solving skills
· Ability to travel occasionally
· Ability to work positively with multiple individuals from different countries and cultures
· Strong interpersonal skills and a team first mentality
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills
· Must be US person as defined in ITAR § 120.14
Desired Qualifications
· Bachelor’s Degree in business administration or related field
· Experience working in a US DoD focused environment
· Familiarity with ITAR and/or EAR regulations, and drafting export licenses
· Experience developing and running digital marketing campaigns
· Experience with Canva and/or Adobe Illustrator
· Supplier management experience
· Purchasing and quotation experience
