Position Overview
As an Engineer II you will work under the supervision of a Senior / Lead Engineer to continue to develop your skills and knowledge process-mechanical engineering and design. You will work on complex projects, assist junior engineers and designers, and contribute significantly to system design and project management. This position requires a higher level of responsibility and accountability compared to Engineer I and is suitable for those with a few years of hands-on experience in the engineering field.
You will be expected to take on a more independent and proactive role in the design, analysis, and implementation of mechanical and process systems, with a primary focus on advanced technology facilities such as semiconductor and related cleanroom manufacturing environments.
This is a remote (WFH) position, but being located in the greater Austin, TX is preferred for client site visits and occasional company activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Participate and help lead the design and development of mechanical and process systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and piping layouts, ensuring they meet project requirements and standards.
- Perform advanced calculations, modeling, and simulations to optimize system performance and energy efficiency with minimal supervision.
- Prepare and review engineering drawings, specifications, and documentation using industry-standard software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, Pipe-Flo), and ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Attend, contribute, and at times lead project meetings, coordinating with other engineering disciplines, clients, and contractors to ensure timely delivery and quality of project milestones.
- Conduct field walks to gather site conditions, monitor construction progress, troubleshoot complex issues, and ensure strict adherence to design specifications.
- Collaborate with senior engineers, designers, project managers, and business operations to develop proposals, budgets, and schedules, and assist in client presentations.
- Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices related to Process-Mechanical systems, focusing on innovations in advanced technology sectors.
- Help support the development of junior-level staff by providing guidance, feedback, and technical expertise.
