What are the responsibilities and job description for the Technical Trainer/Instructional Designer position at Aretum?
- Design, develop, and deliver effective learning solutions such as instructor-led training, e-learning, blended learning, and other learning technologies to support the adoption of custom and cloud-based systems.
- Develop comprehensive training materials, including facilitator guides, participant guides, job aids, and assessments, in collaboration with subject matter experts.
- Deliver engaging and interactive training sessions to employees on the new system, leveraging various technologies and techniques to support in-person, virtual, and hybrid formats. Ensure the training meets identified learning objectives.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs through assessments, evaluations, and feedback to ensure continuous improvement and successful adoption of the new system.
- Stay updated on industry trends and advancements to ensure training content is current and relevant.
- Provide one-on-one coaching and support to employees as needed.
- Monitor and report on training progress and outcomes to management.
- Conduct Training Needs Analysis using observations, customer feedback, and industry trends to comprehensively identify areas where employees need additional training.
- Maintain training records and documentation for compliance and tracking purposes.
- Adapt training programs to accommodate different learning styles and levels of expertise.
- Strong familiarity and comfort factor using new, online systems and platforms
- Proficiency with learning management systems (LMS)
- Proficiency with instructional tools or platforms (e.g., Articulate 360)
- Exceptional grammatical, oral and written communications skills, including ability to effectively convey technical information to non-technical audience
- Ability to use online communications platforms including social media, SharePoint, email, MS Word, etc.
- Experience providing coaching and training to a professional audience
- Experience presenting detailed summaries of progress and updates
- Experience working within teams that include remote team members
- Ability to work independently and in an awesome team setting
- Ability to pass a basic government background check
Preferred Experience:
- 5 years federal contracting experience
- 5 years technical training experience
- 5 years curriculum design experience
- Background in development and delivery of training to client stakeholders
