Job Summary
Under the direction of the Branch Management team, the Inventory Control Specialist plays a pivotal role in maintaining optimal inventory levels and ensuring accuracy in stock management. This position requires meticulous attention to detail and effective communication with various departments to uphold the highest standards of inventory control.
Essential Functions
High school diploma, or equivalent evidence of educational proficiency at the high school level.
Post-secondary education in Inventory Control or a related field preferred.
Experience
Experience in Inventory Control; preferably in manufacturing or production setting is preferred.

Job Summary

Essential Functions

- Implement and enforce inventory control procedures to maintain accurate stock levels.
- Conduct daily audits and inspections of inventory to identify discrepancies or potential issues.
- Collaborate closely with management and receiving departments to ensure seamless inventory flow.
- Utilize company ERP system to track and update inventory records.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Manage freight bills as needed, ensuring accuracy and resolving any discrepancies with carriers or vendors.
- Communicate effectively with management regarding inventory-related matters.
- Conducts daily organization of new and existing inventory including bin location updates.
- Assist in the implementation of continuous improvement initiatives related to inventory management.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Working in moderately noisy environments, normal for warehouse environments, or industrial settings.
- Ability to operate computer systems and other standard office equipment.
- Ability to transition between periods of standing, walking, and sitting.
- Occasionally climb stairs.
- Occasionally lifting and carrying objects (up to 70 pounds).
- Successfully pass drug test screenings throughout employment.
- Strong knowledge of inventory control principles and techniques.
- Proficiency in operating inventory management software.
- Ability to read and interpret technical specifications.
- Basic computer skills for inventory management and communication.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work cooperatively in a team environment.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Willingness to follow instructions and work with minimal supervision.
