Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Contract Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will serves as the U.S Government Project Lead for contracts. You will be responsible for managing and overseeing contracts, ensuring compliance with legal requirements, and providing support throughout the contract lifecycle. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, computer literacy, and a customer-focused mindset to effectively liaise with various stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Plans, develops and establishes the contractual strategy for the overall acquisition program for the organization.
  • Prepares and maintains acquisition plans, appropriate milestone charts and related schedules.
  • Assists in development of solicitation packages and conducts reviews of contract requirements, deliverables and contract changes.
  • Review, draft, and negotiate contracts in accordance with company policies and legal standards.
  • Maintain an organized database of contracts and related documents for easy access and retrieval.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure all contractual obligations are met and deadlines are adhered to.
  • Provide customer support by addressing inquiries related to contracts and agreements.
  • Assist in the preparation of reports and presentations regarding contract performance and compliance.
  • Act as a personal assistant to senior management by managing schedules, organizing meetings, and coordinating communications.

Skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office for document management and collaboration.
  • Strong customer support skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients and team members.
  • Excellent typing skills for efficient data entry and documentation processes.
  • Familiarity with QuickBooks for financial tracking related to contracts is a plus.
  • Solid knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) for creating reports and presentations.
  • High level of computer literacy with the ability to learn new software quickly.
  • Exceptional organizational skills to manage multiple contracts simultaneously while ensuring accuracy.

Requirements

Conditions of Employment

  • Appointment may be subject to suitability and a complete background investigation.
  • This position requires the candidate be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret clearance or access for the duration of employment.
  • A background investigation and credit check are required.
  • This position requires you to travel from the duty station, up to 5% travel away from duty station required.

Qualifications

Who May Apply: Only applicants who meet one of the employment authority categories below are eligible to apply for this job. You will be asked to identify which category or categories you meet, and to provide documents which prove you meet the category or categories you selected. Education: you must possess either a bachelor's degree OR have completed at least 24 semester hours of coursework in certain business-related fields. Preferred graduate of the Army Acquisition Transition Course but not required.

  • Planning and Evaluating

Additional information

You will be required to provide proof of U.S. Citizenship.

One year trial/probationary period may be required.

Direct deposit of pay is required.

This is a Program Manager Career Field position.

Salary includes applicable locality pay or Local Market Supplement.
