Argenta is looking for an experienced Maintenance Mechanic to join our Argenta, Fort Dodge team.
The Maintenance Mechanic position is an opportunity for motivated, driven individuals to showcase their ability to multi task and work as a team. The ideal candidate will be able to work collaboratively as a team, willingly accommodate an on call rotation, and have experience with the following: production equipment, pumps, chillers, air handlers, boilers, and general building maintenance.
The Maintenance Mechanic will provide value through the following responsibilities:
- Install, repair, and upkeep of the Argenta, Fort Dodge facility, including production machines, mechanical systems, buildings, and other structures. May include miscellaneous basic repairs and general upkeep to more complex activities such as electrical, heating, air handler work, and operate/repair equipment.
- Maintain a schedule for inspecting, servicing, and testing machinery
- Diagnose and repair machine failures independently or through vendor management
- Follow best practices, SOP’s, and other safety guidelines
- Complete work orders in a timely and efficient manner
- Plan and prioritize workload
- Keep track of parts inventory
- Work with vendors and external parties as needed
- Process vendor payments as required
- Assists MSaTs as needed for environmental controls
Maintenance Mechanic requirements:
- 2 years of a skilled craft at a vocational school or community college or,
- 5 years relevant experience
- Possesses a strong understanding of GMP regulations.
- Requires excellent written, communication and organizational skills and the ability to work with vendors and contractors
- A good understanding of factory processes and technology
- Multi-skilled in basic electrical practices
- Possess a strong understanding of the broad range of systems to support the facility (electrical, gas, cooling, water, and various production equipment)
- Functional knowledge of Microsoft Office products, facility management systems, and maintenance software.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
This position is subject to a DEA background check post offer and at regular intervals. This position is also required to complete a post offer drug test. Both the background and drug test must comply with company standards or offers of employment will be rescinded.
