Argenta is currently looking to fill the role Utilities Supervisor, Shawnee, KS location.
List Responsibilities
- Point of contact for communicating with team for support of utility equipment, PM’s, Calibrations, and work orders. Prioritizing work by safety, quality, and efficiency.
- Coordinate with Production Supervision/Leads and Planning for scheduling of Utilities PM’s, Calibrations, and work orders. Ensure completion of PM’s, CAL’s and work orders. Coordinate with Production Maintenance and PCT to support technicians in their areas.
- Align Utilities coverage schedule for the Utilities team for regular, weekends and OT production.
- Work with Engineering to coordinate Utilities support for equipment and process related projects.
- Direct involvement in the hiring process and training of Utility technicians.
- Support manufacturing by troubleshooting utilities/facilities equipment and providing process resolution for malfunctions. Provide support for engineering projects.
- Oversight of the repairs and the return to operation is accurately documented according to GMP requirements.
- Take ownership of training and learning to develop high performance competencies such as technical skills, communication skills, and customer (production) support skills. Maintain good organization and housekeeping.
- Meet the Production and Shutdown schedules outlined by Production Planning and CMMS respectively for manufacturing of quality products safely and efficiently.
- Oversight of any deviations identified related to the Utility Systems
- Focus on the maintenance of utility/facility machinery with the objective of improving system performance and efficiency.
- Ensure team complies with all workplace standards and safety procedures, including Lockout /Tagout, Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs), Occupational Safety and Health Administration requirements (OSHA), Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and Company Guidelines.
List Requirements
- A minimum of (5) years industrial experience maintaining utilities/facilities machinery, pharmaceutical experience preferred. Experience supporting clean and plant utilities:
- WFI/Purified Water
- Clean / Plant Steam
- Nitrogen
- Cooling Water
- Chilled Water
- Glycol
- Experience maintaining pumps, tanks, and piping systems.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
- Must have excellent organization and interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively in both individual and team environments. Good written and verbal communication skills in English required.
- Good personal computer skills, including the use of Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel required. Experience using SAP and a CMMS for preventive maintenance activities preferred.
- Must have the aptitude to perform the following actions:
- Calculating math problems, technical reading and writing at a college level.
- Using analytical skills for troubleshooting various utility systems and their controls.
- Read/interpret/follow instructions regarding workplace documentation such as SOPs, equipment manuals, and work instructions.
- Using both U.S. and E.U. formats of machine specifications, P&ID schematics, mechanical drawings, and technical manuals.
