We are seeking an Engineering Technician to join the team in Valdosta, GA
Status of hire: Full time

Responsibilities:
- Ensure that the Forming Technology equipment is properly setup by working closely with Forming Operators on a day-to-day basis and help determine corrective actions for problems in the forming process.
- Use data from Production Control equipment and Forming Inspection equipment to detect Production deficiencies and implement necessary changes that will improve production efficiency.
- Provide training to Junior and Senior Line managers and ensure that the individuals meet competency requirements.
- Monitor reporting processes and implement new reporting strategies if needed.
- Analyze the overall performance of the Forming process by using current and future Technology; pinpoint production deficiencies and recommend procedural changes when needed.
- Work closely with Equipment vendors to stay up to date on advancements in Technology and Software, document and share the new knowledge with team members.
- Analyze all facets of production to diagnose any problems with production lines and provide recommendations for improvement as well as training when needed.
- Manage new equipment installations or equipment trials to ensure a full understanding of the new machinery operations, limitations, and potential downfalls if prevalent.
Requirements:
- Associates in Electrical, Mechanical or Industrial Engineering or equivalent experience
- At least 5 years manufacturing experience or educational equivalent education.
- Previous engineering or data analysis experience
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Extensive knowledge of the principles, procedures, and best practices in the industry.
- Ability to thrive in a fast paced and demanding position.
- Ability to analyze complex data, concisely present actionable intelligence and act on that intelligence

Strong understanding of Siemens PLC’s
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to work in an office environment
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times. Must be able to get into confined spaces without difficulty
- Strong team-working skills and the ability to operate effectively in a cross-functional team.
- Vision: Must be able to make visual recognition of the working environment.
- Environment: Exposures encountered such as: hazardous materials, loud noise, and extreme heat.
- Hearing: Must be able to hear team members, alarms, mechanical sounds, and sounds of personnel distress
- Essential physical requirements such as climbing, bending, reaching, standing, stooping or typing.
- Standing and walking throughout a 12-hour shift.
Day shift w/weekend rotation every 5 weeks
