We are seeking a Integral Quality Lead to join the team in Valdosta, GA
Status of hire: Full time/direct hire
Industry: glass bottle manufacturing
Rotating Shift, 12 hours
Responsibilities:
The Integral Quality Lead is responsible for directly Managing the Quality Operators and the Quality Process on a specific Slot.
- Work Closely with the Slot Operations Manager of a specific Slot to ensure Quality product is packed to ship to Arglass customers.
- Ensuring that all employees adhere to all Quality policies and procedures.
- Enforce all GMP/ISO/FOOD SAFETY policies/procedures.
- Delivery of training and competency assessments to new Quality operators that have been assigned to his/her specific Slot.
- Ensuring all paperwork is completed correctly and at the correct time.
- Ensure all Quality tests are performed in a timely and accurate manner.
- Analyze data through IQ Scan and Inspection equipment and provide feedback to the Forming Department for correction of defective bottles.
- Ensuring all Data is entered into the IQ Scan system correctly and at the correct time.
- Working closely with the Lab Technician to ensure containers with Out of specification dimensions are corrected and discarded as per Quality procedures.
- Ensure all Quality Operators keep up with the housekeeping on their respective lines.
- Hold pallets of finished goods through the PARF process when Quality level is not achieved.
Attend Handover meetings at beginning and end of Slot to receive and pass information.
Requirements:
- Hish School Diploma/GED/College
- Experience in manufacturing environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast paced and demanding position.
- Ability to analyze complex data, concisely present actionable intelligence and act on that intelligence
- Must be organized and adaptable in a rapidly changing environment.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills
- Committed to continuous improvement.
- Previous experience in the glass industry highly preferred
- Fluency in English required / Fluency in Spanish preferred.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to traverse steps without assistance.
- Must be able to verbally communicate in potentially loud environments
- Must be able to lift 30 lbs unassisted.
- Vision: Must be able to make visual recognition of the working environment.
- Environment: Exposures encountered such as: hazardous materials, loud noise, and extreme heat.
- Hearing: Must be able to hear team members, alarms, mechanical sounds, and sounds of personnel distress
- Essential physical requirements such as climbing, bending, reaching, standing, stooping or typing.
- Standing and walking throughout a 12-hour shift.
