JOB SUMMARY
The QA Manager is a leadership role responsible for driving both strategic and tactical quality execution across ARGO's Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and customer initiatives. This role involves defining accountability, key performance indicators (KPIs), quality processes, and conducting root cause analysis. The QA Manager ensures accuracy, quality, and adherence to standards, while also driving the team to complete the planned scope of work within the SDLC. Additionally, the QA Manager facilitates the prevention and early detection of defects, ensuring the successful delivery of products to the market and enhancing customer satisfaction.

The QA Manager provides leadership to define and drive quality processes which deliver efficiently and cost effectively while producing high customer satisfaction. They will improve quality while reducing cost and reducing reliance on customer test results. KPIs and metrics will be consistently produced to determine overall quality results and driving process improvements.
PRODUCT SUMMARY:

ARGO’s solutions require both deep business line subject matter expertise (SME) talent and concentrated technology SME talent to work across the organization on our financial products including Fraud, Teller Payment, Lending, Omni-channel delivery solutions and/or our healthcare solution.
EXPECTED WORK AND PERFORMANCE (ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS)
- Deliver leadership through definition of quality objectives, strategies, processes and best practices at the corporate level.
- Define comprehensive quality processes throughout the SDLC process from requirements definition through testing to both prevent defects from occurring and detect defects that escape the development process.
- Define testing strategies ensuring complete analysis of the software solution (UI validation, database validation, data management, 3rd party integration validation, XML validation, etc.).
- Identify opportunities to automate test processes and implement automated testing where appropriate.
- Establish accountability for execution of and adherence to quality processes and best practices across the organization.
- Define and regularly report quality KPIs and metrics to provide objective insight into ARGO’s quality process execution and to drive continuous process improvement to achieve quality objectives.
- Conduct continuous root cause analysis of defects to identify process gaps and propose corrective actions.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Management Information Systems (MIS), Computer Science (CS), or a related subject.
- 10 years of Quality Assurance & Advocacy experience including 5 years of staff management and leadership in technology.
REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE/KNOWLEDGE
- Strong experience in defining and using KPIs to drive quality processes and actions to meet and improve quality results.
- Proven ability to manage large QA projects and mentor team members on QA best practices.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with business, technology, and systems personnel to improve product quality and deliver value to customers.
- Strong customer focus, including leading customers in test strategy planning.
- Superior team building and leadership/coaching skills.
- Experience using industry-standard test management tools, such as XRAY, Zephyr, Quality Center, and Xporter, integrated with workflow management tools like Jira.
- Proven ability to lead and implement test automation using tools such as Selenium, Test Complete, Ready! API, SoapUI Pro, and other best-in-class industry standards.
- Proficient in managing quality processes throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) for both waterfall and iterative development methodologies.
- Broad and deep knowledge of software applications and technologies.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, including the ability to communicate with external clients and deliver presentations to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
PREFERRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE/KNOWLEDGE
- Banking and Finance or Healthcare background preferred
- Experience with the Microsoft Technology Stack

This role is critical to Customer, People, Product, Process and Revenue in ARGO’s Value Chain CRP3 (Customer, Revenue, People, Product, and Process) by delivering our solutions to customers and achieving high customer satisfaction.
ATTENDANCE/WORK LOCATION
The position is based in our Richardson, TX office. Daily physical presence in the office is required for interaction with co-workers, attending meetings, and for collaboration on projects. Should expect approximately 10 percent travel.
