What are the responsibilities and job description for the Quality Engineering/Process improvement/Data analysis Intern position at Argonne National Laboratory?
Argonne National Laboratory, one of the U.S. Department of Energy's (DOE's) major research centers, is pleased to announce an opportunity for a college undergraduate student to participate in the Laboratory's ongoing programs. The ideal candidate is interested in understanding process and system metric development to improve lab operational processes that support the lab's research and development mission.
Job responsibilities may include :
- Assist with collecting and analyzing various operational metrics.
- Data analysis and metrics development.
- Assist with benchmarking efforts related to Quality.
- Supporting development and verification of new or updated systems, processes, procedures and documentation.
- Assist in creating and updating Failure Mode and Effects Analyses and procedures Assist creating and updating group documentation including newsletters, forms and checklists & website content as needed for Quality, Work Planning and Analysis Office (including Quality, Work Planning, Event Analysis, and Performance Assurance Groups).
- Administrative tasks as requested by Quality, Work Planning, Event Analysis, and Performance Assurance Groups.
- Support 6S (workplace setup optimization - supports visual managment and improves efficiency)

The expected hiring range for this position is $18.96-$23.70.
