This posting is for the U.S facility located on the Space Coast in Brevard County, Florida.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITY
As an Engineering Technician II, you will report to the Head of Engineering and will be responsible for performing a variety of duties in the electronic, mechanical, electromechanical, propulsion, and/or optical areas.
You'll be tasked with constructing, troubleshooting, calibrating, testing, and maintaining our equipment, components, devices and systems to ensure compliance with established specifications.
In this position, you will work with autonomy and in a highly collaborative team environment. Besides the US team, you will also have the support of an experienced multi-functional team from Argotec’s headquarters in Italy.
Specific duties include (but not limited to):
- Spacecraft Assembly, Integration & Testing (AI&T) operations.
- Performing research to support engineering development.
- Building and testing prototypes and Flight Articles.
- Inspecting products for compliance with specifications.
- Ensuring safety and cleanliness at work sites.
- Providing customer support when required.
- Reporting to supervising engineers.
- Supporting proposal development and documentation.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
- Team player and a “Do what it takes” attitude.
- Associates Degree in Science, Engineering or other related STEM discipline or Technical Certification.
- At least 2 years of professional experience in the role (relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of education).
- Ability to read and understand mechanical and electrical drawings, diagrams, schematics, and manuals.
- Experience working with standard laboratory test equipment, other measurement instruments, hand tools, and power tools.
- Excellent written and oral communication in English.
- Great problem-solving skills.
- US Citizenship or US Permanent Residency is a requirement for this position.
PREFERRED SKILLS
- Background in the Aerospace and Defense Industry will be considered as a plus.
- Experience with various testing equipment, standards, and methodologies, including manual and automated testing.
- Ability to prepare complex and professional test plans, test procedures, and test reports to demonstrate compliance with system requirements.
- Experience performing certification testing for agencies such as FAA, NASA, or DoD.
- Familiarity with Product and Quality Assurance principles and experience in managing product non-conformances.
- Must possess multi-tasking skills and excellent organizational abilities.
PHYSICAL / MENTAL / EMOTIONAL REQUIREMENTS
- Frequently walk, sit, stand, climb stairs and steps.
- Frequently repeat same hand, arm, and finger motion many times to include finger and hand dexterity.
- Occasionally lifting or carrying up to 20 lbs.
WORKING CONDITIONS
- Rarely exposed to outdoor elements (high/low temperatures, sun, rain/snow, etc.).
- Rarely exposed to fumes or hazardous chemicals/materials.
- Rarely exposed to loud noises.
