Gift Shop Associate

Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and friendly Gift Shop Associate to join our team. In this role, you will provide exceptional customer service while assisting customers with their purchases and enhancing their shopping experience. You will be responsible for maintaining the shop's appearance, managing inventory, and promoting products effectively. Managing sales calls for the gift shop will also be maintained. Managing relationships with wholesale clients will also be a job responsibility.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly and assist them in locating items within the shop.
• Process transactions accurately using the POS system, ensuring efficient cash handling.
• Engage in upselling techniques to enhance sales and promote featured products.
• Maintain stock levels by organizing merchandise and conducting regular inventory checks.
• Demonstrate product knowledge through engaging product demos to inform customers about features and benefits.
• Supervise the shop during shifts, ensuring a positive shopping environment for both customers and staff.
• Handle customer inquiries and resolve any issues or complaints in a professional manner.
• Keep the shop clean, organized, and visually appealing to attract customers.
• Create and make sales calls for bath any body business.
• Manage wholesale client relationships through communication and outreach.
• Assist with Shopify website helping update images and inventory.
• Barcode relevant items in gift shop for smooth inventory tracking.
• Organize in person bath and body events for Argrow's Bath and Body.

Skills

• Strong cash handling skills with attention to detail in processing transactions.
• Proven ability in upselling and driving sales through effective communication.
• Basic math skills for accurate cash management and inventory tracking.
• Previous retail sales experience is preferred, ideally in a gift shop or grocery store setting.
• Experience with supervising staff or managing shifts is a plus.
• Ability to conduct engaging product demos that highlight key features to potential buyers.
• Familiarity with stock management processes to ensure optimal inventory levels.
