Soap Maker

Overview
We are seeking a passionate and skilled Soap Maker to join our creative team. In this role, you will be responsible for crafting high-quality soaps and bath and body products using various techniques and ingredients. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in customer service and retail, with the ability to communicate effectively with customers about our products. You will also help lead the Argrow's Gift Shop assisting with inventory tracking and customer relations. This position offers an exciting opportunity to blend artistry with customer interaction in a retail environment. You will also assist in training efforts for Argrow's bath and body program for women survivors of violence.

Responsibilities

• Create a variety of soap products using different methods and ingredients, ensuring high quality and consistency.
• Help create community and retail events around bath and body products.
• Conduct product demonstrations to engage customers and showcase the benefits of our soaps.
• Assist customers with inquiries, providing exceptional customer service and product knowledge.
• Operate cash register and handle sales transactions accurately.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the soap-making area and retail space.
• Collaborate with team members to develop new soap recipes and product lines.
• Utilize retail math skills to manage inventory levels and assist in restocking products as needed.
• Promote sales through effective communication and understanding of customer needs.
• Make sales calls and follow up when needed.
• Help lead training efforts for Argrow's bath and body program for women survivors of violence.

Experience

• Previous experience in retail sales or customer service is preferred.
• Familiarity with cash register operations and basic sales processes.
• Experience in product demonstrations or similar roles is a plus.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage customers effectively.
• Knowledge of retail math concepts to assist in inventory management.
• Experience in a grocery store or similar environment is desirable but not mandatory.
