Position: Occupational Therapist (OT)
Hourly Rate: up to $75 - $85/hr
Job Summary:
Provides occupational therapy services to individuals and their families in their homes as prescribed by the attending physician. Provides consultation and education to agency staff.
Level of Responsibility:
Works under the general direction of agency policies and the specific requirements of the client's plan of care. Responsible to Argus of Colorado administrator or designee. Exercises supervision of assigned personnel.

Examples of Duties and Responsibilities:
- Patient care activities to increase the client’s function and independence including:
- Evaluation: Initial and ongoing assessments to determine level of functioning, including OASIS assessments at appropriate times;
- Developing and revising the plan of care in consultation with the physician and other care team members;
- Identifying barriers to desired outcomes
- Goal setting
- Treatment provision, patient/family education and provision of equipment to increase the patient’s level of function and independence;
- Coordination of services in consultation with home health staff
- Discharge evaluation and planning.
- Evaluating the effectiveness and outcomes of care.
- Documentation including:
- Timely recording of all evaluation data, treatment, and client’s response to therapy interventions;
- Recording outcome of conferences and quality assurance data;
- Attendance and participation in appropriate client care conferences, staff meetings, inservice programs and agency committee meetings.
- Provision of continuing education and consultation to clients, families and other staff members
- Supervision of home health aides, therapy assistants and other paraprofessionals as appropriate
- Maintains current knowledge of the occupational therapy profession by participation in formal education programs, workshops, and professional organizations
- Performs other related functions as required.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Colorado OT license
- Graduate of an occupational therapy curriculum approved by the Council of Medical Education of the American Medical Association, and the American Occupational Therapy Association.
