We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Human Resources Assistant to join our dynamic HR team. This role is essential in supporting various HR functions and ensuring smooth operations within the department. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills and a solid understanding of HR processes, including benefits administration, affirmative action planning, and workers compensation.
Responsibilities:
Documentation/ Employment Files
- Maintains all employee related databases and compiles reports as needed
- Ensure that human resources files and records are maintained in accordance with legal requirements, company policies and procedures.
- Filing, scanning, faxing; organizing and maintaining employee and department files.
- Organize and facilitate employee engagement opportunities; maintain dept. newsletter and manage company sponsored employee appreciation programs
Reports
- Prepare and run impromptu HR reports
- Prepare and schedule reports for HR Manager and other Dept. Mangers
Training & Employee Programs
- Assist with coordinating employee trainings, development efforts, meetings, and special events.
Employee Communication
- Assist employees with their questions related to HR responding promptly
- Assist management and staff with other human resource activities
Skills and Qualifications:
- Reporting Skills, Maintaining Employee Files, Dependability, Organization, Scheduling, Confidentiality, Independence, Orienting Employees, Verbal Communication, Teamwork, Microsoft Office Skills
Qualifications:
- 1-2 years’ experience in human resources or administration
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage several projects simultaneously while working under pressure to meet deadlines.
- Ability to establish and maintain harmonious working relationships with other team members and employees throughout the organization.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to find solutions to problems.
- Strong knowledge of MSOffice Word, Excel and Outlook.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Must be able to keep HR information confidential
