Electrical Test Technician

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Test Technician to join our team at Argus Technical Services. As an Electrical Test Technician, you will be responsible for performing a variety of tests on power transformers and associated auxiliary apparatus.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform tests on transformers, control boxes, and other components in accordance with established procedures and specific instructions.
• Develop and maintain expert-level skills in testing of controls and auxiliary devices.
• Handle non-conformities per procedure, including documenting and segregating.
• Troubleshoot failures based on procedure and/or under guidance.
• Perform basic preventive maintenance and 5S of workstations, test equipment, test floors, and offices.
• Calculate test data to verify test parameters and evaluate test results.

Requirements:

• Associate's degree in Power, High Voltage, Electrical Engineering, Utilities Engineering, Electro-magnetic, or an equivalent major.
• 2 years' experience with Transformer Factory/Field Testing experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Knowledge or experience with transformers or high-voltage equipment design, manufacturing, service, or testing.
