Set up Tech - 1st Shift ahh
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Demonstrates understanding of all set-up procedures and all molding machine and secondary operation functions.
- Safely and efficiently operate a sit-down forklift.
- Set-up, starts and troubleshoots presses using established process control methods.
- Uses computer to print work instructions and other job related documentation.
- Monitor press cycle to ensure presses are running to standards.
- Observe machine operations to detect work piece defects or machine malfunctions, adjusting machines as necessary.
- Assist Operators when they encounter issues in the running machinery.
- Modify existing robot programs to handle parts without causing damage to the equipment or parts.
- Program machines for operators; creating new programs as needed.
- Ensure machines are running at peak efficiency, rate and quality throughout the shift
- Clean, inspect and maintain injection mold and machine as required
- Work as part of a team to minimize downtime and increase production.
- Perform periodic inspection rounds when needed.
- Actively participate in team meetings, think sessions, and process improvement meetings designed to create a better work process.
- Assist lead person with training of new personnel on proper job procedures, quality requirements and safety procedures
- All other duties as requested.
