Description
The Assistant Buyer for Ecommerce is responsible for providing analytical, operational, and clerical support as well as working with cross-functional partners to execute all category strategies efficiently and accurately via the website. This position is located at our Corporate Headquarters in Boston Heights, Ohio.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain Data to support the website
- Manage product information for each launch period
- Communicate updates and changes made to the database with marketing teams
- SKU Creation, setup, and maintenance
- Assist with the naming convention for SKUs
- Manage availability messaging for Dropship and Special Order Products
- Apply Shipping and Warranty messaging where applicable
- Build new product records across several internal databases
- Launch new products on the website when active
- Identify opportunities and white space in the online assortment
- Work cross-functionally with Buying, Product Development, and Marketing teams
- Present new ideas and opportunities to Buying and Product Development
- Communicate business needs with Marketing and eCommerce team
- Weekly sales reporting for respective category or division
- Manages product information and/or category inbox for incoming messages
- Unavailable SKUs reporting
- Removing products and SKUs from the site as needed
- Other assistant buyer duties as specified by Divisional Merchandise Manager/ Buyer
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree required.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel & Outlook).
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work closely as a team member.
- Previous buying and sales/management experience a plus
