Carrollwood Farms Job Description: Farmhand
- Report to Head Farmer to execute all tasks necessary in the cultivation of produce, crops, and livestock on Carrollwood Farm’s present and future farm and garden areas
- Utilize farm equipment including mowers, weed trimmers, tractors, tractor implements to cultivate ground and raise produce, crops, and livestock at Carrollwood Farms
- Responsibly care for farm equipment including tractors and implements, including regular maintenance and cleaning
- Mow fields and when appropriate make hay
- Assist in maintenance of bird fields
- Assist in bird hunts, including placing and dressing birds
- Assist when necessary on other farm projects, including sitework and excavation and building projects
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds.
- Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- Other physical demands of the job, include standing, bending, pulling, pushing, climbing, and lifting.
