ABOUT CARROLLWOOD FARMS
Carrollwood Farms, an affiliate of The Carroll Companies, is a family estate farm encompassing 5,000 acres in Stokes and Rockingham Counties, North Carolina. We operate in various segments, including agriculture and hospitality. Our employment opportunities include vegetable farming, grounds maintenance, livestock, and hospitality.
Position Overview :
In this role, you'll play a key role in shaping and maintaining the beauty and functionality of our farm's landscapes. You'll be responsible for existing features like yards, road edges, and trails, along with upcoming projects as we continue to grow.
Responsibilities :
- Maintain our lawns, trees, shrubs, flowers, and irrigation systems.
- Operate lawn mowers, line trimmers, chain saws, blowers, as well as relevant equipment for establishing lawns.
- Apply fertilizer, herbicides, and insecticides safely and effectively.
- Spread mulch, trim trees and hedges, and control weeds.
- Operate and maintain a variety of hand tools (loppers, saws, shovels) and power equipment (gators).
- Conduct basic irrigation audits and repairs.
- Keep the grounds free of trash, debris, and litter.
- Be a team player with a positive attitude and a willingness to learn.
