Duties & Responsibilities
- This position will require the engineer to work within the Failure Analysis & Met Lab groups and contribute to the immediate AMT Decatur team as well as internal & external process partners.
- Part or project identification. Material management. Print interpretation. Test plan development. Nondestructive evaluation. Destructive evaluation & testing. Communication. Work with laboratory, internal quality engineers, external suppliers & customer.
- This position will interact with several team members including the Failure Analysis team, the NDE management team, the AMT Laboratory team, the Chemical team and suppliers.
- Bachelor of Science in Metallurgical or Materials Science Engineering
- Preferred candidates would include 3 years of previous experience
- Fractography
- Microscopy
- Metallography
- Non Destructive Evaluation
- Mechanical Testing
- Hardness Testing
- SEM / EDS
