Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze project plans, specifications, and scope to prepare accurate cost estimates.
- Develop and maintain relationships with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain competitive pricing.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and architects to ensure budget accuracy.
- Conduct quantity take-offs and cost analysis for materials, labor, and equipment.
- Prepare detailed bid proposals and present findings to leadership.
- Track industry trends, market conditions, and material pricing to refine estimates.
- Assist in value engineering efforts to maximize project cost-effectiveness.
- Ensure all estimates comply with company standards and project requirements.
- Participate in pre-construction meetings and assist in contract negotiations as needed.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in commercial construction estimating (real estate development experience preferred).
- Strong knowledge of construction materials, methods, and cost structures.
- Proficiency in estimating software, such as BuilderTrend, Excel, and project management tools is preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, plans, and technical documents.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Strong communication and negotiation abilities.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating with a team.
- Willingness to travel for project-related work as needed.
