What are the responsibilities and job description for the Behavioral Health Tech (BHT) position at ARIA?
Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) acts as a representative of treatment staff and observes all patient activity, maintains a visible presence on the clients at the treatment center, community housing, and at outside activities. The BHT will also circulate throughout the treatment center and community housing facility, and alert to fire and safety hazards. The BHT is responsible for driving the company vehicle to ensure clients arrive safely and on time each day for scheduled actives.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Graduation from High School or GED
- 1-year experience in treatment industry preferred.
- Current and Florida Drivers License
JOB DUTIES
- Developing a daily structure for clients.
- Developing a weekly structure for the clients.
- Overseeing clients.
- Transporting clients to and from appointments and meetings, when necessary.
- Utilizing the company van for transportation of clients.
- Instructing and confirming the company’s rules and regulations to new admissions.
- Orientating new clients to the facility.
- Completing and forwarding copy of Incident Reports and any other safety/risk issues immediately to the Lead BHT.
- Providing and observing self-administration medication to clients
- Providing a daily report on the required rounds made that shift, to the Supervisor.
- Facilitating client’s rules and responsibilities and reporting noncompliance to the Supervisor
- Ensure all medications are stored in compliance with AIRA policies
- Observe clients’ medications according to the schedule
- Drug Screening and testing
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
Expected hours: 33 per week
Schedule:
- 12 hour shift
