Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced IT Strategy Consultant to advise clients on technology strategies that align IT investments with overall business goals. In this role, you will analyze current IT landscapes, recommend strategic initiatives, and work directly with executive stakeholders to shape future-state technology roadmaps.
The ideal candidate brings deep knowledge of enterprise IT environments, technology trends, and business-IT alignment strategies. This is a remote, contract-based role with regular travel to client sites.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead IT strategy engagements with clients, from assessment through delivery
- Analyze the client’s existing IT infrastructure, applications, and governance structures
- Identify gaps, risks, and improvement opportunities across IT ecosystems
- Develop strategic technology roadmaps aligned with business objectives, growth plans, and industry best practices
- Advise clients on emerging technologies, cloud strategies, data platforms, cybersecurity, and digital transformation initiatives
- Present findings, strategic recommendations, and implementation plans to C-level executives and business stakeholders
- Support the development of business cases and ROI analysis for technology initiatives
- Collaborate with client teams, technical architects, vendors, and project managers to ensure alignment and feasibility of proposed solutions
- Stay updated on technology trends, regulatory requirements, and industry-specific challenges
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, or a related field
- 8 years of consulting experience in IT strategy, enterprise architecture, or technology advisory roles
- Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure, cloud platforms, application development, and cybersecurity principles
- Proven experience developing IT strategies, roadmaps, and business cases for mid-to-large enterprises
- Familiarity with IT frameworks such as TOGAF, COBIT, ITIL, or similar is highly desirable
- Strong understanding of digital transformation, emerging technologies, and tech modernization trends
- Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills with the ability to influence senior leadership
- Active or prior Security Clearance is preferred
Travel Requirement:
- Willingness to travel 25% to 50% of the time (domestic travel)
Hourly Rate:
$70 per hour (commensurate with experience and qualifications)
Work Authorization:
- Must be authorized to work in the United States
